Wind power is generated through the use of a wind turbine which is usually mounted on a tower. The turbine collects wind energy and converts it to electricity which is transferred to your houses breaker panel, allowing you to rely on your existing power supply as a secondary source (back up power). Small turbines can be an effective way to store energy for later use. The payback period is in the order of 10 years depending on your energy usage.
